SEO
Local SEO that helps the right customers find you, and get in touch.
If your customers are searching on Google, I'll work out where you're missing opportunities and what we can realistically do about it.
From Google Maps and local searches to your website, products and service pages, I'll focus on the work most likely to make a difference to your business.
- Local SEO
- Website SEO
- Ecommerce
- Technical SEO
01 / Start with the opportunity
I don't start with an SEO package. I start by finding out what's going on.
Before recommending work, I'll look at how your business currently performs, what people are searching for, what your competitors are doing and where I think the genuine opportunities are.
That could mean your Google Business Profile needs work. Your website might be targeting the wrong searches. Important pages may not be performing. Or there might simply not be enough search demand to justify a large SEO campaign.
If I don't think SEO is where your money is best spent, I'll tell you.
02 / Local search
Get found by customers in your area.
If you serve a particular area, appearing prominently in Google's local results and on Google Maps can be extremely valuable. It's often where people decide who to call.
Where you rank depends on several things working together: your Google Business Profile, your reviews, how consistently your business details appear elsewhere online, and how clearly your website shows what you do and where you do it. Your profile and your website support each other, so I look at both.
Local rankings also change from one street to the next. A search grid shows where a business appears from different points across its area, so you can see where it's visible and where it isn't.

03 / Your website
Google needs to understand what you do. So do your customers.
I look at what your customers are actually searching for and whether your website gives them, and Google, a clear answer. That covers which searches each page is aimed at, your service pages, page titles and content, how pages link to each other and how the site is structured.
If you sell online, it includes your product and category pages too.
For one Sheffield business, a dedicated page for a specialist service went on to get six times as many clicks from Google as the page it replaced. You can read how in theSheffield Gutter Services case study.
Sometimes the biggest opportunity isn't changing an existing page. It's realising that an important page doesn't exist yet.
04 / Technical SEO
Fix what's getting in the way.
Some websites have problems that stop Google crawling, understanding or indexing them properly. Pages that never make it into the index, redirects that go wrong, broken links, missing structured data, warnings in Search Console or pages that are slow to load.
You don't need to know what a canonical tag is. I'll find the technical problems that matter, explain them in plain English and either fix them or tell you what needs doing.
05 / Ongoing SEO
I keep an eye on what's happening.
SEO isn't a list of jobs you do once. I keep watching your organic performance and rankings, Google Search Console, your local visibility and what your competitors are up to, and I look out for new opportunities as well as problems.
If something changes, I'll investigate why. If something is worth doing, I'll explain what I recommend and why.
You won't receive a report full of numbers with no idea what they mean. I'll tell you what's changed, what matters and what I think we should do next.
06 / How I work
No fixed SEO checklist.
Find the opportunity
Understand the business, customers, competitors and search demand.
Prioritise what matters
Work on the things most likely to produce a worthwhile result.
Measure and adapt
Watch what happens and change direction when the evidence says we should.
SEO from £350 per month.
Ongoing SEO typically starts from £350 per month. What I recommend depends on your business, competition and what I believe is actually worth doing.
Need something lighter? I can also monitor your performance and provide prioritised recommendations, with implementation quoted separately.
See how visible your business is locally.
Local search visibility can vary dramatically depending on where somebody searches from. You might be near the top a few streets from your door and hard to find a couple of miles away.
Run a free report to see how your business is doing.
Not sure what kind of SEO you need?
That's completely normal. You don't need to diagnose the problem before getting in touch.
Tell me about your business and what you're trying to achieve. I'll take a look and tell you where I think the opportunities are.
