Websites
Website design for businesses that need their site to bring in enquiries.
Your website doesn't need to be complicated. It needs to explain what you do, make it easy for people to take the next step and give Google a clear understanding of your business.
I build straightforward websites for businesses that need something professional, fast and properly thought through.

01 / Start with the business
I work out what the website actually needs before I start building it.
A five-page website might be exactly what your business needs. Another business might need dedicated service pages, location pages, product categories or landing pages.
Before building anything, I'll look at the business, your customers, competitors and what people are searching for.
That helps determine the pages the site actually needs rather than starting with an arbitrary template.
The structure comes from what your business needs — not from filling spaces in a template.
02 / New websites
A professional website without the agency headache.
If you need a new online presence, or you've outgrown the site you have, I can build you a clean, modern website. Clearly structured, quick to load, easy to use on a phone and simple to find your way around, with an obvious next step for the customer on every page.
The SEO foundations are part of the build, and I set up analytics and tracking where it's useful, so you can see what the site is doing for you.
For straightforward projects, I'll agree a clear price before I start, so you know exactly what you're paying for.
You work directly with me from the initial conversation through to the finished website.
03 / Built with search in mind
SEO shouldn't be something you think about after the website is finished.
It's much easier to give a website the right foundations from the beginning than rebuild the structure six months later.
Because I work in SEO as well as websites, I plan the two together. Before I build, I look at what people are searching for, which services and locations need their own pages, how those pages should link together and what each one should be called.
The technical foundations go in at the same time, so Google can read the site properly from day one. If you want to keep building on that once the site is live, that's what my SEO work is for.

04 / Existing websites
You might not need a new website.
Sometimes the website you already have is perfectly usable. It just needs improving, and I'm not looking to sell you the biggest possible project.
I can add the service or landing pages that are missing, improve the pages that are there, reorganise the navigation and fix technical problems. I can also sort out calls to action, forms and tracking, and improve category and product pages if you sell online.
If the website can be improved without rebuilding it, I'll tell you.
05 / New businesses
Starting from scratch? That's fine too.
If you're setting up a new business, you don't need to arrive with a website specification. I'll help you work out what your digital foundations should be, then put them in place in a sensible order.
You may not need all of it on day one. I'll tell you what matters first.

06 / How I build
Simple where it should be. Thought through where it matters.
Clear
Visitors should quickly understand what you do and what they should do next.
Fast
Keep unnecessary code, plugins and complexity out wherever possible.
Built to grow
The site should have a structure that can expand as the business and its search visibility grow.
Websites from £500.
A straightforward small business website can start from £500. That's a starting point, not a standard price.
The final cost depends on what the site needs — the number and type of pages, functionality, content and whether we're starting from scratch or improving something that already exists.
For larger, ecommerce or more bespoke websites, I'll look at what's required and give you a clear price before work starts.
You won't be explaining your website to five different people.
When you work with Grow Local, you work directly with me.
I'll understand why we're building the site, what you're trying to achieve and how it fits with the wider SEO and digital work.
If something needs discussing, you can talk to the person actually doing the work.
Need a new website — or just need someone to sort out the one you've got?
Tell me what's going on.
Whether you're starting from scratch, your current site needs improving or you're not sure what the right option is, I'll take a look and tell you what I think makes sense.
